More Feltilicious Research!
I’ve spent this week doing a bit more research. Although some of it has been off-topic from my toy making theme for this project, I thought I would illuminate to everyone some of the other interesting things you can do with needle felting!
Crafty Containers by Feltcafe.
Adorable pink bear toy and hedgehog pin cushion from Ola Smith.
Feltcafe did some beautiful needle felted detailing on these coin purses.
Clever idea for a flower bouquet by Feltcafe.
Cute needle felted gift for any sushi lover! by Wool By Willow.
Among some of the other things I discovered were scarves, hats, Christmas ornaments & stockings, mixed-media artwork and tapestries! I am beginning to really love the versatility and variety of things you can do with needle felting. Oh by the way, If you have not already tried out something called FlickrRiver for doing creative research – you must check it out! A continuous stream of Flickr images based on any search you put in. I searched “needlefelting” and never did get to the end! Also, much better quality of results than just using google images to search.
Well I suppose that wraps up most of my research. Next on the list is to start sketching out ideas for my project and getting started on my first “stab” at it. ;)
